私たちの生活に欠かせない日用品には、沢山の化学物質や添加物が使用されています。もちろん、これらは日本国内での使用を許可されているものですし、一日摂取許容量を超えないよう設定された規定量を順守し使われています。添加物には消費・使用期限を長くし、製造コストを控える効果などもあります。
一方、これらの摂取許容量を決めるために、多くの商品で動物実験が行なわれています。既に規定量が定まっている化学物質でさえ、日本では商品が違えば動物実験をして確認すると聞いたことがあります (数年前の話なので、変っていると良いのですが)。また、化学物質に対し敏感に反応し、頭痛や倦怠感などさまざまな症状を発症してしまう人達もいます。

I believe that producing everyday items with synthetic substances is a good practice, as these chemicals can prolong product longevity and also allow companies to manufacture products more affordably.
合成物質を添加し日用品を製造するのは良い方法であると考えます。なぜなら、これらの化学物質は製品の寿命を延ばし、より手頃な値段で商品製造を可能にするからです。

- Additives(添加物には自然由来のものと人工的なものがあります。ここでは、後者についてですので、言い換えとしてsynthetic substances や chemicals としています。
- こういう時の practice という単語は日本語にしにくいですよね。英語で文章を考えていなければ、practice という単語も出てこず、ただ、・・・is good. とか・・・is a reasonable way. としてしまうかもしれません。ダメな訳ではないですが、practice とするのが一番ナチュラルな気がします。他に同じpractice (やり方・方法など) の意で、farming practice / current best practice / accepted practice など、エッセイに使用出来そうな自然なコロケーションがあります。
- longevity は生物の寿命でけでなく、本文のように物にも使えます。
- 日本語で文を先に考えるとmore cheaply としてしまうかもしれません。安い高いは主観によるので基準は人により違いますし、準1レベルだと more affordably という表現の方が適切だと思います。

- a foregone conclusion = inevitable です。最初は inevitable と書いていたのですが、良い機会なので他の表現を紹介してみました。ネイティブは、スピーチやエッセイで同じ単語をリピートしません。一つの機会にinevitableを二回以上使用する時は、どちらかをa foregone conclusion にしてみると、「おおっ」と思われるかな☺

- 泡立たせるとか、手触りを良くするとか、知っている英単語のコンビネーションですが、すぐに英語で思いつかない表現かもしれません。texture は、物体の表面の感じなので、それが食べ物であれば、舌触りとか食感とかに訳され、毛布などであれば、手触り肌触りのような訳語になるでしょう。
