日本語でも要約は苦手という人も多いかと思います。ましてや、「英語で要約なんて・・・」と途方に暮れている人もいるかもしれません。そういう方のために、要約の仕方とコツを、ステップバイステップで説明していきます。一緒に要約でスコア伸ばせる人になりましょう！
要約問題インストラクション
まずは、インストラクションをご覧ください。
要約する文章は、準1級では約180～200字くらいの長さであると思われます。英検公式サイトに掲載の例文から推察すると、文章は3段落で構成され、難易度は英検2級程度ではないかと思われます。また、出来るだけ元の文章の表現を使わずに、自分の言葉（同じ意味だけど違う言葉を用いて）で、60～70字にまとめる必要があります。

- それぞれの段落で最も言いたいことを見極める

本文をしっかり理解することなしに要約はできません。練習の段階で知らない単語があれば調べましょう。知らない単語があっても大意はとれますが、その場合70‐80％の理解度、もしくは「もやっとした感じ」の理解度になってしまいます。
