どんな対策をしたらいいのか
一般的に「高校卒業程度」の英語力と言われている英検2級ですが、日常生活ではあまり話す事のない社会性のあるトピックが出題されますので、しっかりした準備が必要です。
- 模擬試験練習：2級面接スタイルに沿ったQ&Aトレーニングは効果的です。英会話レッスンなどの回数を増やし、実際の試験内容に沿った手順での模擬試験を繰り返しましょう。模擬試験対策では、面接官の尋ねる質問内容を1回で理解し、短時間で自分の意見をまとめ、論理的に話す、という会話の総合力が求められます。尚、1度で質問を聞き取れない場合は、焦らずに聞き直しましょう。質問内容に対して的外れの答えをするとゼロ点になってしまいます。
- 幅広いトピックについて話す：面接試験で取り上げられるトピックは、社会性のある話題、自分自身についてなど多岐にわたります。上記の模擬試験練習時に、様々なトピックにチャレンジしましょう。
- 録音して聞く：自信を持って話せるトピックを増やすためにも、英会話レッスンや面接テキストで出会ったトピックについては、ある程度話せるようになるまで、何度も練習して下さい。1度話しただけでは、緊張している実際の試験でしどろもどろになってしまうことがあります。
- 話す内容の構成力を高める：英検2級の面接試験で使える文型パターンをしっかりと押さえましょう。「賛成・反対意見を述べる時」「●●の傾向がある」「●●に悪影響がある」「●●は増える・減る」「一般的には●●と言われているが、私は●●と思う」など、定番の構文・フレーズを使って、様々なトピックで応用するのが効果的です。また、回答時には「結局何が言いたいか」にフォーカスして、論理的に話す事が重要です。「結論 –> なぜなら」を意識しましょう。
