The world needs alternative sources of rare metals and minerals that are running out of stock on earth. Humans have devoured them, but they are still in high demand in producing some products, such as eco-friendly hybrid vehicles or MRI machines. It is, therefore, vital to proceed with space mining to maintain a steady supply of those minerals.
地球上のレアメタルや鉱物はなくなりかけており、その代替源を世界は必要としています。人間はこれら資源をむさぼり使用してしまいましたが、今なお、エコフレンドリーなハイブリッド車やMRI機器などを製造するのに高い需要があります。ですから、これらの鉱物の安定した供給を維持するために、宇宙採掘は必須なのです。

The health of humans and other living organisms has been impaired in some countries as a result of mining and smelting base metals. Harmful pollutants are released into the adjacent environment during those processes. This often happens in developing countries where relevant environmental regulations are lenient. Space mining would be a way to iron out this life-threatening problem.
採掘や精錬の結果、人間も他の生物も健康を害されてきた国があります。それらの工程で、有害な汚染物質が隣接した環境に放出されるのです。関連した環境規定が緩い発展途上国ではよくある事です。宇宙採掘は、この生命を脅かす問題を解決する方法になると考えられます。

No one should not be allowed to start their business using resources in space yet. The lack of internationally-agreed regulations may make the space mining businesses chaotic. It may lead to physical conflicts, or worse, space wars. The time has not yet matured for space mining.
誰もまだ、宇宙資源を利用したビジネスを始める事を許されるべきではありません。国際的に同意の取れた規則なしでは、宇宙採掘ビジネスは無秩序になってしまうかもしれません。また、物理的な衝突、もっと悪い場合、宇宙戦争に発展してしまうかもしれません。宇宙採掘の機はまだ熟してはいません。

It is high time that human beings learnt how to conserve existing resources rather than scanning through space. Ensuring resources in the universe may accelerate the current rates of using the stock on earth. In human history, we have frequently exploited nature and destroyed it. Humans should not go ahead with space mining unless they revise their destructive attitudes.
人類は、宇宙を探索するのではなく現存する資源をどうやって大事に使うのかを、もういい加減に学ぶ時期にあります。宇宙に資源を確保する事は、地球にある資源を利用するスピードを加速させてしまうかもしれません。人類の歴史において、私たちは頻繁に自然を搾取し破壊してきました。この破壊的態度を改善しない限り、人間は宇宙採掘を進めるべきではありません。

In short, humans need to address two issues before starting space mining: the introduction of globally-agreed rules and the enhancement of their morality.
